Water saving for veg plot
I have 2 wheelly bins of rain water on my allotment, i never had a lid on them so the water is smelly with fallen leaves etc in there, is this ok to water my veg plot with or do i need to use a waterbut with a lid on, water? I would say it's fine by racwelsh

Help :(
I put my cucumber, tomato, courgette, pepper and some other tender seedlings outside today to soak up the lovely sunshine. I went to fetch my daughter from school, and we had a sudden bout of heavy rain and hailstones.......   The seedlings by Emma1978

Lavender turning black
'm thinking either my dog had suddenly started cokcing his leg against them or that the heavy rain we've had lately is too much for the lavender. Any ideas? Are they in containers or open ground? They are planted in open ground next to a patio i have by julieasayers

Is it ever going to STOP!!!!
   thank you  rant over Know the feeling, my gardens really lush at present, no doubt due to all the rain but I did despair at the weekend when we had torrential rain and it flooded all the trays and pots. I enjoyed sitting outside last year, eating by susan howard2

Beloved Lavender bushes dying
Dear All, We have five lavender bushes all about four years old. I deadhead and use the flowers daily and the bushes flower all year round (we are in the middle of the Atlantic Rainforest outside Rio). After temps of up to 40deg and torrential rains by Pena Selvagem

My be with all this rain this year next year's daffodil's will have some flowers not like the display we had this year mostly blind. oldchippy- I do know what you mean,very poor year for daffrs this year. That's why I'm not buying any this year, all by oldchippy

Hi Kate just got back from taking the dogs for a walk in Nonsuch Park,Like walking on a sponge with all this rain but it has started to fill all the brooks that feed the ponds, I haven't seen any wildlife in the ponds only dogs,I noticed by oldchippy
