Herbaceous Border
I want to make a Herbaceous Perrenial Flowering Border. The area is already prepared and has Clematis on the trellis going up the fence and some annuals at the moment. The site is 3metres wide and comes out 60cm from the fence Does anyone have any by Mattbeer87

After the storms.......
Despite the torrential rains and wind, the ornamental grasses are still swaying and overlording the garden. Miscanthus, panicums, Calamagrostis varieties are still in flower and providing structure and movement and colour. Interspersed with red by Verdun

Jubilee Summer Planting

Plant identified by Alina W about to flower (epiphyllum)
for in an office in which I worked during the 1970s !! I regarded the plant itself as quite ugly - certainly nothing to look at with long, lank sharpish leaves .... BUT the flowers - so beautiful - red - such a contrast to the leaves !! I managed to identify by Swedboy

't necessaily true. I haven't seen any Peacocks, Red Admirals or Commas recently. Although I normally associate them with the time when the buddlea is in flower, and it's not out yet. We've had so much wind and rain that I don't think the butterflies can fly by flower 7

Seed pods on New Zealand Flax
on high poles but as the plant that did this last year suffered as a result I decided to remove them this year before they started running to seed.  I have several different varieties of flax and only the spiky variety have produced these flowers.  The red by sterelitza

Does anyone know what this is?
Ive had this a while now but it's never really done much until now. Was just wondering if anyone knew what it is so I know what to do with it   I just know that it's deciduous and I think it has a white flower (but I could be wrong)   It is a by Mattbeer87

Border plant
find one to suit. My neighbour has a hedge of them in her front garden. They are evergreen, have  lovely flowers and a long flowering period. I have small leaved ones, red leaved ones , tall varieties and short ones too. Such a wide variety,so I'm sure by kru

Geum rivale 'Leonard's Variety'
was hoping by cutting the stems down that I'd be lucky enough to get another flush.  Will wait and see what happens. If you want a longer flowering, spectacular one then look out for G. Blazing Sunset. Buds are yellow, then open to yellow and red and finally by yarrow2
