Red Insects
I have in my garden soil very small, red ant like insects which appear when the soil is disturbed. They were confined to my flower beds but they are now infesting the lawn where they leave mounds of very fine soil where their nests are. or white. and roses in red, orange, pink, etc but not blue. I quite fancy purple crocosmia in may! I have some very early flowering narcissi but they don't fit in. It's not their time. Glad someone feels the same as me about Chelsea, Verdun - marvellous by Bookertoo

Cosmos seeds - mixed up
Last week I sowed some Cosmos seeds - some red flowers, some white.  I didn't label them (foolish) as I thought I would remember which pot was which.  I then moved them around when watering them, and am now thoroughly confused ! Does anyone know by chicky

i love the foliage on my geranium There is a thistle called Syllibum marianum which has the most striking foliage of dark green and white. Heathers always look good because,even when not in flower, their foliage is attractive, but my favourite by kaycurtis

Nectar-feeding woodpeckers
