Plant identification please
! Some are easier eg Pieris japonica Little Heath and Pieris japonica Little Heath Green ...as they are dwarf ones with tiny leaves. http://apps.rhs.org.uk/plantselector/plant?plantid=3829   Some with red flowers ... you can say that MIGHT  be x or y by Jo Stephenson

How to prune a Pieris
I have a very large Pieris that I have had for years, that has beomw a bit leggy and lost a lot of it's redness. I have not really pruned it before - I have only taken off a few dead ends?  Please advise? As a minimum, you need to prune off by kellylewis

HELP me please!!
and comes in different shades of pink and I have a red one aswell.  Ceratostigma Willmottianum - pretty blue flowers.  It is a neat little plant that you can just cut back.  Verbena bonariensis is still flowering and is fantastic for butterflies and bees by natalia85

clay soil late summer flowers (slug proof but bee friendly)
favourite is Hypericum 'Magical red star' has pretty yellow flowers which fade and scarlet red berries follow, so the colour goes on for ages. Hope I've been some help. I keep a diary of whats flowering and when, so I can see at a glance when plants by Ems2

Red Onions - Buds Forming
name, your onions are 'bolting'. Remove these flower buds and eat straight from the garden...they won't store. Most common cause of 'bolting' is planting before the soil had warmed-up. About half of my red onions have now bolted - and soime of my by Bob177

them. I used pellets, and the result was devastating!Incidentally they do not seem to do so well in tubs or pots or even confined flower beds. I do not know the reason for this.I also grew Tally Ho, a superb red single which I first noticed by Jim Ebling

help identifying this plant please .
as much as possible, but this plant has me straching my head !!!  many thanks  British wild flower, Arum maculatum known as  Lords and ladies. The central bit develops into  a spike of red berries. Oh thank you so much Figetbones !  My pleasure. I have a by Samie Cain

Bambo like plant
really tall and   has lovely red flowers on it. She has cut it right back adn I have planted them, added some pics if I can work out how to upload them. Does anyone have any idea just what this is. I have looked at Knotweed but the ones I have do by Doodlebug73
