Talkback: 10 exotic house plants
for plants such as orchids or other houseplants who prefer to be out of direct sunlightI also have an issue with red spider mite. Can this be reduced by misting and perhaps keeping a bowl of water to increase humidity? Any advice greatfully received. Hello by mummycrafts

Greenhouse Pest
My fuschia cuttings, which were doing really well in an unheated greenhouse, have been attacked by something!  The leaves that are left are discoloured and distorted but most have fallen off.  I did find a web, so suspected red spider mite.  However by Eileen2711

Apple - Mite Problem?
(not the raindrops!) which contain what appear to be red spider mites or eggs. I'm not sure.  I'd be grateful for advice. If it is in fact a mite infestation, I believe there are predatory mites etc which can be used for control. But where to get these by Kertben

Whitefly
'interweb, together with ladybird 'houses' so they can overwinter.  They're supposed to be good at getting rid of greenfly, whitefly, aphids and red spider mites.  I don't like using pesticides in my garden in case they damage the bee population. by COGIE

spiders could be red spider mites, which do damage plants and are not actually red until autumn. It was pretty warm in April. by lennypearce

rubber plant
a bit more information we might get a clue as to what's wrong    I  agree,  more info would be good. When I have grown this, a good misting to avoid red spider mite really helped the plant.  Also a good wipe of the leaves with a damp cloth helped too by jacqui4
