Climbing rose
I planted a climbing rose last year which has done very well, but there appears to be branches growing that are red in colour and do not turn green.  Do I leave them on and prune them back in the autumn or do I remove them now?  To be honest by lavenderlass

Honesty
and removed the flowers would they flower again soon or would I be better just enjoying the flowers they have now? I think if you remove the flowers you will have to start again with new seed.  They certainly will not repeat flower if you remove the flowers by cbdesignsolutions

Shallots first time
I am growing shallots from sets for the first time. Planted out in early April and making good growth. This week flower buds are starting to appear, should they be removed so that all the energy is concentrated in the bulbs or left to mature? Your by Terence Jones

wilted leaves
been like it all winter but does not seem to be recovering. Hello Carolyn Gray, Unfortunately this could be phytophthora. Unfortunately there is no chemical treatment for this that amateur gardeners can use. Generally removal of the plant is recommended by carolyn gray

Weed killer
) or remove them (as my OH tries to get me to do.). If you used glyphosate make sure the weeds have gone yellow / brown before lifting them.   either i would remove them but if its a large area this can be a bit tedious so for a large area i would dig them by newbee

just leaves Where are you keeping these-are they still in pots or the garden-have you pruned or fed them at all? Probably because they're young and have been moved. Also, have you removed the old flower heads? When you do, you have to be very careful by Louise Stevenson
