David Austin rose gardens Alternative
It's my wife's birthday soon and we would like to do somehting special. I know she would like a visit to David Austin's rose gardens in Shropshire, but that's a bit far away from where were are in east Hampshire to go for just a day trip. Does by Andrew Douglas

Standard rose growing funny, help please - new gardener
knack to pruning old rose bushes to stop them growing too tall.  Can anybody remember what the tip was?  I have some old roses in the front garden which I cut down to about 12" each spring and they're just growing taller and taller with all the flowers by Kitty77

New gardener rose question
Hi I bought 2 roses for daughter and other half - Katherine and Sophie (roses were named)  Sophie is going great, however Katherine is looking pretty unwell. I have tried lots of bug spr   ays, but still the plant declines,. any thoughts? Bugs aren by biff227

Weed killer
Two weeks ago I used weed killer on weeds in the rose garden, which has worked and they are dead. What do I do next do I weed them out or digg them in? Provided they are totally dead you can either leave them (as I do, decaying weeds get recycled by newbee

best shrub rose for an east fence
I have a space in an east facing border I'd like to fill with a shrub rose. I have loads of other roses in my garden, as the soil is perfect for them - heavy, clay, free draining etc. but none in that particular bed. Ideally looking for a white by freshairfanatic
