blackspot
I have grown roses for fifty years and have never had a year like this one! The poor roses are keeling over with blackspot - the whole shrub, not just the leaves - despite annual application of sprays and care in the clearance of affected leaves. I by frances large

SEAWEED FEED
such as clematis or roses - for them you will need extra food. I keep promising I'll start using seaweed feed but have never got around it. It's not helped by the fact it's not sold at my local garden centres. I always use rose feed in the spring and autumn too. by lorraine247

Talkback: A rose by any other name...
for sale at David Austins. JamesCan you please tell me the variety of the rose you call 'Rosa Euggghh'? I quite like it. Would it be 'Oranges & Lemons'? Nice to find another place where I can find familiar names. Love to read about other gardeners. Look by deborah copping

Location for rose bush
Hi folks, I would like to buy a rose bush or two for the back wall of my house but it is NE facing and loses the sun around lunchtime. Is this too little sun for roses? Thanks in advance for any advice... NO.  Some don't like full sun.  David Austin by Colin Smyth

New roses for old
, Sotongeoff!                                                             Alina, my local Wyevale Garden Centre, and my David Austin Roses catalogue both indicate that after twelve to fifteen years roses won't perform so well and will need replacing by Naki

Yellow Rose - bought as a miniature
Hi all I purchased a miniature rose a couple of years ago with beautiful yellow fragrant flowers (unsure of its name).  Last year due to the mild winter it never seemed to go dormant, and this year it has grown tall and leggy and looks a bit by mdw84

Pruning standard roses
I'm lucky enough to be the custodian of a historic property with a small walled garden which I am also responsible for. I have a pair of standard roses which are so old that they have trunks rather than stems! Whilst I'm normally fearless at pruning by Cetti
