roses
Please does anyone know why roses flourish but don`t make any buds. They are perfectly healthy plants, with glossy leaves etc, and the climber is a good height but as yet has no buds. HELP. Horribly cold and dark year so far?  If things get warmer by dorothy sumsion

What is the best way to take and propagate rose cuttings?? Chris. 10" semi hardwood cuttings in a trench with sharp sand at the bottom, in September. I am sure there is a very recent thread all about this -sorry I can't look for it now. Hopefully by Christopher Dennison

weird roses
Two years ago my daughter was given a red rose on valentines day. When the flower head had died It looked as if the stem and leaf were still healthy, so I dead headed it and trimmed the stem then just pushed it into a pot in the garden. You can by Alan Williamson

Stunted Rose
I've just joined the forum and will be very grateful if someone could give me advice on a patio rose purchased last year.  It's just named "Yellow Patio " and gave me abundant flowers last year.  It lives in a pot, plenty big enough, and has been by lilly3

Rose Bed
I want to make an all rose flower bed. It's a kidney shaped bed (max 5.4 m long x 2m wide) in the middle of a south facing lawn.  Ideally I would like fairly low growing roses, probably pink, easy to care for and with some scent. I'm a complete by rosiehelenmac

Wallflowers and roses
Have just been told by neighbour that wallflowers can affect roses, e.g. 'don't plant wallflowers where you want to plant roses in the future'. This started me wondering about whether wallflowers could trigger 'Rose repeat disease'. Does anyone know by artjak

Sprouting Rose
I have a Patio Rose and today have noticed that there is a bunch of leaves appearing at the centre of the rose. I have never seen this before.  I wondered if the seeds are growing inside the flower.  The petals are still fresh and healthy by Sylvia4

Rambling rose
I need to move a rambling rose this winter, any advice would be welcomed.  Will I need to cut it down and sacrifice the flowers for next year? Personally I would cut it back. This will help the plant put energy into new growing new roots. by Pam san
