Moving roses
I have just had to take out an established climbing rose that was twisting happily around my pergola post due to some construction works about to start. I know it is not wise to re-plant roses where one has already been planted but does this apply by Pam Thompson

Lanky Roses
Can anybody help my wife.  She has a climbing rose,pictured above, which has got way out of control, and she is at a loss as how to prune it.  All the books she has read tell her to cut right back to just above a bud, or growing point. The trouble by Flyer

Rose Blackspot

Support for roses
My roses have now been radically pruned after collapsing last yearin the high winds. They need staking / supporting and I am determined to sort thisout this year - very disappointed to have to prune them back so hard. Which supports do I use by Sandy 3

Old Rose
My mother had a very vigorous rose in the front garden, but due to attack by passers-by it died after a traumatic transplant (some ten years ago). It was quite old (some thirty years), and unfortunately I have no picture of it (at least none I can by rusflorum

American Pillar climbing rose
I have a large old American Pillar climbing rose that was very severely cut back 3 years ago, it gets very badly infected by mildew, which discolors the flowers and they then fall of. I have been spraying it with a fungicide which controls by Ph BB

Moving a rose
I planted a number of bare root roses in November. One I was not sure of (colour) I have since found one that would fit in the area better (a climber) . If I dug up and replanted the original rose somewhere else, as it is a new rose and has not put by Rosa carriola

Can anyone tell me why alot of the flowers on my Nevada rose are very pale pink but in Spring and Autumn they are the true colour creamy yellow. Also I have the rose Agnes rose and this yr it flowered for the first time and they are the same pale by galest

Teaching a rose to climb
My Gertrude rose was planted about 2 months ago and is about 50 cms high already and has some buds and the colour can be seen easily. It was planted about 50 cms away from the fence but is making no attempt to climb. What do I do?  Will it grab by erica londonii
