My new project. Where do I start!
put them right in the corner and moved my 're-potting' table up there. Joe, not sure about green, as some parts have gone green anyway, and I'm not keen, but hadn't thought of blue. Hmm. I'm a huge lover of roses, which I'm sure some sorts do well by Insomnia1973

Why did you all start gardening?
. When we eventually had more than a yard my father filled it with roses and dahlias, they left me cold so i never bothered. Most gardens after that were dog runs, football pitches, play areas. I became ill and found going out into the garden - the one by Busy-Lizzie

Talkback: Garden seating areas
garden but a couple of seating areas:  An east facing bench which is ideal for an early morning cuppa (weather permitting).  Am currently growing a scented rose against the fence behind (David Austin's Gertrude Jekyll), a small decked area with a chair by donutsmrs

wildlife in the city
. Sadly things change flowering rose. I grew up in the sixties, in a house which backed onto a field and post war allotments. There was a huge derelict pig farm and vicarage with orchard. I recall being woken at the crack of dawn to the sound of birds by flowering rose

should be able to read the beginning of the article here: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/environment/article3696921.ece   I saw this item in the times, flowering rose and it seems that people use Clopyralid on their lawns to kill weeds. I think this is so by flowering rose

Talkback: Wasp alert
into the box and going away. My husband investigated one day and found an active wasps nest in the roof of the box. We realised this was the reason the box had not been used. It is the most beautiful construction resembling a rose with petals and a hole by Kathleen Marley
