Lawn maintainace
We laid a new lawn in April on the back plot. I have been intending to scarify, airate and dress this Autumn, but have had no time inbetween the rain until now. Our beautiful green new turf has developed yellow blades this autumn and the lawn by Pebble Garden

A few things
growth i started noticing patches and areas getting slightly waterlogged. Over winter i have also noticed worm cast. I have started to aireate the ground and fill the holes with sand but due to the cold not started to cut or scarify it. Is this my only by ogster

year I had none but the year before some. I just tried to pick them out the best I could then scarified the lawn and forked it to try and help drainage as much as possible. They are so unsightly and not in the least magic! I doubt that they wont come by John Chapman

Soil on Grass
.After scarifying and aerating we would put a load of lawn soil on the green and rake it in leveling with a long plank. The soil contained seed and fertiliser it was then left to over winter and we would then cut it dropping the blade to find a perfect sward by bobloes

Help for student designer
the mower drive. the lever you have to hold in on the scarifier, the pull chords to make petrol tools start. I am not a very small person, but they beat me. Fiskars opened up a new dimension in tool development with this weeding tool by Smorrison

boggy mossy lawn
to apply. The moss goes black & then needs scarifying to remove it. I think that you can hire some equipment to help you do that with such a large area. If cost isnt too much of an issue, but time & energy are, then there are specific companies that do lawn by raheny

Mossy lawns
to reduce the moss problem by scarifying the area then airating and sifting in sharp sand. This will help reduce the thatch and better aid drainage. You can also take out large lawn weeds with a trowel ie dandelion & plantain. Both of these again may mean by mummy greenfingers

scarifying Lawn sand is probably what you want there was 5 min clip on GW prog earlier in year from Rhs its what they use. I am not an expert, but watched Gardener's World yesterday - and he did both one after the other. See if it's on the iplayer by Paul-H
