Lupin Seeds

runner beans with white flowers as well as the usual orange/red. Purple bobby beans too. All help to make a meal look appetising. Lovely ideas everyone. It really is fun going through the seed catalogues and choosing vegetable varieties that not only look by abbed

Honeysuckle 'Winter Beauty'
and the weather put a cork in the bucket in the sky, so I was able to viev the "estate". Lots of plants shooting up, I hope we do not get a sharp frost which might hurt them. Never mind, fingers crossed and back to hot drink and seed catalogues Enjoy everyone! by Bjay

Encouraging young gardeners
School.  Apparently there are over 26,000 schools which are benefitting.  They are taught about where food comes from and with the vouchers can pick out from a catalogue tools, etc. for their school garden.  My little school round the corner has a lovely by Woodgreen wonderboy

for pots others grow huge, none grow particularly fast, its best to read the labels. Have a look at a specialist nursery that sells them... their catalogue will help with colour, size, speed , height, date of flowering  etc Request a paper copy with all by happycottontail

to try the sweet potato, have really gone mad on this veg, will also try plenty of new varieties of the veg we enjoy. This year I will also use the allotment more than last year due to studies and exams. another seed catalogue arrived in the post today by midnightvelvet

bolting onions
. There are onion seeds that you can plant now which will give a nice crop of onions before the Autumn.  Have a look in the catalogues or on-line Thanks guys, i best get cooking. Thanks for your help The only problem with bolted onions is that they do not store by chicken!

How To Start Veg Growing
explore Aldi and Lidl and Wilkinsons for seeds.  I have found their germination rates excellent. Avoid glossy catalogues, their seeds are expensive.  Concentrate on growing crops that are either expensive or of poor quality in the supermarkets.  Go to a by tony68
