Full sun and partial shade
In the far end of my south facing garden, the sun shines from late morning till about afternoon. Would that area be suitable for plants that needs full sun like lavender and thyme. From midafternoon till evening, that corner is fully shaded. I have by Kitty Jingga

Plants for complete shaded areas
Please can anyone tell me what plants can be planted in complete shaded areas in my garden Ferns like to live in shaded areas. If you have a forest of woodland area near to where you live you'll see them growning amongst the tree in abundance. I by chippysteve1

using bulbs as annuals in shade
are right-they will flower this year but do not give up on them for future years-there is a difference between shade and total darkness-so they may still get enough light for photosynthesis to flower again in following years-a lot of gardens are shaded by Rick greenfingers

front garden design

Plant recommendations for east facing garden

Can't garden so reading the books
in the near future. Lovely book this one if you like woodland and shade gardening.  I've already made a list of shade plants you gave on another post . I have a lot of shade area (due to us putting a 6ft fence .between us and neighbour we bought land off by nutcutlet
