storing carrots and parsnips
Hi all, what is the best way to store carrots and parsnips? I leave parsnips in the ground and dig them up when needed, but both can be put in a bucket etc of slightly damp sand or peat, kept in an unheated covered place like a shed or garage by Edentoy

Paint
Can anyone help? My local school has a Plastic tool shed that is quite an eyesore. We are desperate to make the garden inviting once again and wonder if there are any easy to use paints that also are not expensive (school budgets!) All advise by The Artist

Willow affected by drought
but will it recover? It's about 30 feet high and a really sturdy tree - we thought. At that size it should do so, yes. It's not uncommon for mature trees to shed their leaves in drought, and they're usually OK. by Thin lizzie

Raspberry brown leaf
The leaves turn brown and the canes are stunted.  The limey soil doesn't help but they are usually better than this.  Hopefully the pic uploaded OK so you can see the problem. No picture -please read http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/the-potting-shed by David Brown
