Slugs
I grow my french and runner beans in deep beds into which I have dug in lots of homemade garden compost. But my compost heaps are probably full of slugs and their eggs, so it is no coincidence that these deep beds are also full of the pesky things by Jimeva

slug pellets
Any good deals on slug pellets at the moment I need them by the bucket load!!! Do you have a Wilkinson's near you-got a carton for a £1 last week Please don't use them.  Birds and hedgehogs will eat the corpses and then die.  Try barriers like sand by weejenny

underground slugs
I have a problem with underground slugs eating newly planted shrubs in my front garden and want some help in trying to get rid of them before it gets too expensive to replace the plants that die. Can you describe the little horrors for us, or even by Sarah Garrett

Slugs and copper
Slugs are eating all my veg. The only thing that seems to work are copper rings, but they are expensive for whole rows, so I limit them to spot plants like courgettes, squash and toms  Has anyone tried fixing copper sheeting all the way around by Colin Young

The Year of the Slug
Have just seen Mathew Oates of the National Trust on BBC News website talking about winners and losers after the extreme weather conditions of the last 12 months. Apparently the slug loved 2012 for the rain and enough warmth to keep it happy by artjak

slugs and toddlers
is that my garden is full of slugs and snails and I need to keep them away from the veg patch. Any ideas? Nemaslug poss won't work as we have very clay soil here and I don't want to go down the pellets route as I'm worried that she might try to eat/touch them by dibladocus

Sheep it or Slug gone
Has anybody used the above, which are recommended as a slow fertiliser, but also has the added bonus of being an irritant to slugs and snails who apparently dislike the wool content of the pellets. Is it effective? Would welcome any comments by dmball
