a little tip
A cheap tip that works,without harming anything, put a ring of vaseline around your tubs now to prevent slugs,weavels and ants getting at your plants,i also put a ring around the fruit trees to stop the coddling moth crawling up and infesting by gail collins

Shady spots
Hey all, I'm in need of some low-growing plants to cover ground and perhaps even trail down at the front of some dry stone terrace walls. Its all partially or even fully shady and slugs and snails are a nightmare because of the nooks and crannies by auntie betty

Strawberry stripper
You say now sign of slugs/snails but have you looked at night time-have you scattered slug pellets about? What type of soil is the best for strawberries do you need slug pellets and I have been told to use straw around the plant PLEASE HELP New by Pauline Page

pot pests
I've put up with all sorts in the greenhouse this year, including slugs sneaking in, but I've just upturned a pepper plant that looked a bit poorly and found what I thought was a tiny worm on the outside of the pot at the bottom. On closer by maggie-1

drunk squirrels?
Something is emptying the beakers of beer I am attempting to trap slugs with in the veg garden.  I fill them up at night, well dug into the soil, next day I find them empty and most removed and left flung round the garden!  Today one was just almost by Mall

sheep wool
Sheep wool pellets seem to be a good deterrent for slugs but has anyone tried collecting sheep wool from from fields and hedges and using that? I'm trying it from today but wondered if the wool will attract mice for their nests. The sheep wool by Sheila 5

Egg idenification

Runner Beans loss of leaves
Can anyone help, I have planted my greenhouse grown runner bean plants in my allotment, this morning found 3 plants with 1 or 2 leaves missing. It's not slugs and the stems look like the leaves have been cut off,no ragged edges. It is too cold by BUBBLES2
