Are these leopard slugs?
I found these under an old planet pot not used for a few years. I want to know if they are leopard slugs or do I need to kill them now?     Look like them to me http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limax_maximus but I'm not an expert - anybody else by Amy-new-at-this

Slug invasion
Despite a very dry start to the year where I had difficulty getting seeds to germinate, or plants to establish ( we don't have piped water on the allotments, and the captured water ran out very early), the end of the year has seen a massive slug by Campbell McKee

Slug warfare
I can't believe I've just spent the last half hour wearing headtorch and spearing 35 slugs with a wooden skewer. These beasts are really getting to me this year. I think they are living in the soil in the cracks between the flags on the patio by Jigsaw Gill

Talkback: Slugs
I can't help laughing at all the articles I keep reading on slugs and snails and what people do to them, I've not give up and I think some people {nieghbours} may think I'm mad in and out at night and half grapefruit skins between plants all over by Elisabeth Telford

Pesky Slugs
Can anybody help me get rid of what seems like the entire worlds population of slugs in my garden? I began gardening two years ago and the first year was fab...lots of veg and flowers with very little attack from the slimy critters...ugh! but last by The Manic Slughunter:)

slug slime
There is a waste ground behind my back fence. An eco-friendly way of getting rid of slugs from my garden is to collect them by hand and lob them over the fence (though I'm sure they make their way back). However, I am left with a lot of slime by schubbs

slugs and snails
My compost heap is full of slugs and snails and I feel I am spreading these and eggs across the garden when I use the compost.    Any comments as I am so reluctant to use the compost on my veg. garden by Granny Evs

Continuation of slugs
I was looking for the thread on slugs but can't find it now, there is quite a few subjects on the forum so this is just a continuation of slug probs. I can't bring myself to kill them or snails no matter how much damage they did last year by Flower bird

I put out saucers with bran dot them around the garden then at night rubber gloves on and go collecting they head towards the bran and its much easier to pick them up - then they go down the drain!! Hedgehogs and birds are also predators of slugs by smokeyjack

Slugs and snails
Is there ANYTHING slugs and snails won't eat? Weeds. You have to put yourself in the mindset of a slug-there is a free meal on offer-you can have grass and weeds- chips if you like-or for just a bit more effort dine at the Ritz on our treasured by Lorraine Sharp
