Courgette Help
and they are still producing more flowers. I water them every day and feed once a week. I am so pleased that the other three plants died that I put outside months My cougettes were growing well and then with all of this rain and no sun then slugs although I put by Huntertony

Have you seen one?????
lots of hoverflies around the flowers in my troughs a few days ago.  I've got lots of ladybirds,bees etc. I know it's not pc but I can't appreciate all this wildlife gardening stuff.  Along with the usual slugs and snails we enjoy the assistance of by susan howard2

for your help. Morning Hare. No, it's not just yours. These are mine when I took a photo yesterday. Leaves been shredded, I presume by birds and slugs, and seem to have new growth, but are so slow growing.    Mine get full sun, and are watered daily by Moonlit Hare

Flying Ants
terrible state. I fear them more than slugs ! I saw a  programme once that said flying ants all fly at the same time but not seen any yet. Hate horse flies too. they came out as soon as the hot weather arrived. I put on anti-histamine cream as soon as I get by donutsmrs

Grass snake in the pond HELP !
, though. Hi flo Bear I am a bit concerned about what my neighbours may be using to deter slugs. There are hollows under my fences where foxes have dug to make a corridor and we had a badger who visited last year. So the garden is dog proof but not hedgehog by Bored with Bindweed !

 garlic or seaweed spray (along with other stuff) to deter pests like slugs/snails, green/blackfly in the garden only because one year,to much detergent was put into a spray used, in an attempt to kill blackfly on a blossom tree, the tree nearly died, hence, soapy by donutsmrs

never been a problem and the tide line decides who ownes what, in winter lots of seaweed is deposited  and gardeners collect it, if its placed on top of the soil slugs tend not to go over it when its dry, our chap digs some in and from the £ shop he gets by Jackers

Using woven landscape fabric to overwinter soil
if that is what you are tyring to achieve-what it will do is keep the weather off and suppress the weeds When you remove it you will have a soggy layer of soil-a load of hibernating/hiding slugs and a few other nasties and probably some white roots-far better by Beatrice Lee
