Talkback: Controlling slugs and snails with copper

Nematodes...every slugs enemy:)
and all i had to show was fat slugs roaming my garden...and I swear they were smirking! You need an avatar   These nematodes occur naturally in the soil anyway. You are just adding to that and improving the odds. I found them to be effective I did thank by The Manic Slughunter:)

Tip to keep the slug from your hostas.................................
A guy from the Hosta society passed on a good tip to ward off the slugs and snails from your hostas -hair.  Hair has barbs on the strands and the slugs do not like to cross it. I keep trimming a quarter inch off my fringe and sprinkling it around by dizzylizzy

please help. @Tea-Rose, i'm no expert but i'm not sure if its true about the slugs cutting themselves, i saw a programme on t.v last week & the guy said that slugs could crawl over the edge of a razor blade without cutting themselves as they don by barbandjohn

, with no visable injuries from cats etc I am concerned it could be something worse, like a disease. I hope not, as I have been looking after the tadpoles over the past few years to build up an army of frogs to eat the army of slugs we have in our garden. We also by Marigold

Hi i have just moved into a huge house with a huge garden & decided i would like to grow my own fruit & veg so we dug out my little allotment got planting and all was doing great but now everything is growing well the slugs and snails have decided by Squawk

clay soil late summer flowers (slug proof but bee friendly)
in to get some colour.  Ive bought lavender to attract the bees but wondered if anyone had any ideas? - i've lost so many to slugs and our clay over the years. I have clay soil (old brickworks next door) and Japanese Anemone grows well, but they do seem by Ems2

I found these two little carmers in the garden this a.m. I put a pencil next to one so thet you can see the size. Are they the Spanish Slug?     Not an expert, but I don't think so.  These look a bit like leopard slugs to me, but I wouldn't like by artjak
