just curious
members constantly mention garden size-usually to emphasize smallness-here in reno, nv. my 1/3 acre(how much is that in hectares?) is considered small-although because everything is planted the actual garden size is larger than most and about all i by david spikes

What's so good about fruit trees?
I am undecided wether to plant a fruit tree in my back garden, can anyone tell me some heavy croping fruit trees that don't take up too much space? Also how do you grow a successful fruit tree? (I am 14 years old and keen to learn, so any advice by Martyn2

Overwintering young delhinium plants
Hi, Just bought a couple of young delphiniums from the GC.  They are about 2 inches in height and have about 4 small leaves. Is it better to overwinter these in pots or plant them now in the garden ?   Are there still slugs about as they love by Chris 7

Potted Hydrangea
My son bought me a lovely hydrangea in a small pot for Mother's day. It was sold as a pot plant. Am I right in thinking I could plant it outside, or would it have been forced or something to flower at this time and so be unsuitable for the garden by lilly3

Flea beetles
Hi all!  I think I have flea beetles munching on an unidentified small tree in my garden. Can anyone advise me whether this needs action, or should I live and let live?! The mystery tree is next to blackcurrants and gooseberries. Thanks by Pamela14
