Plants for scent.
I have a smallish sheltered garden and the vast majority of my plants are grown for bees and butterfly etc but I also like things with a lot of scent. A gardener mentioned Meadowsweet on another thread so I have bought some seeds for that but I by Muvs Dashwood

Moving a conifer that has got too big
My boyfriend planted a number of conifers in our garden about 12 years ago. The garden is very small - about 9 x 7'. Now the trees have become overwhelming, and have started to shadow our neighbours' gardens. I am a complete gardening novice and am by Tracey73

compost heap out of control
. Personally, I would skip the lot to save spreading weeds and seeds across the entire garden, but that's just me. If you want/need to sort through the pile, I would suggest sieving the lot at least. In a small garden a compost heap takes up a lot of space by alexthewinelady

Pear midge??
My husband is not really into gardening but has taken an interest in a large pear tree in our garden. We moved here 6years ago and the first year had loads of pears. Since then it has been a failure, virtually all the small fruits falling off. He by Mrs S

Calling Swedboy - what is horticultural grit?
Gardener's World, and have asked various gardening sites over here what horticultural grit might be, and where can I buy it. Problem is, over here, they've never heard of it - google translates it to "trädgårdsgrus", which is basically the gravel you put by Boltgirl
