't know where else to post this!!any comments would be appreciated. I have a small south facing terrace garden on the Isle of Dogs in London. Last summer I used growbags for some vegetables and rather than get rid of them when finished I planted a few by Alice

Bind Weed
. Don't worry it may look bad but it will not be forever I had a 100ft garden full of bindweed. Best time to spray is when its in flower, so leave it to romp and then soak the b**tard on a windless day! Repeat as needed. I dug all mine out over the years by lesinnl

Robinia Tree problems...
with some purple leaved trees and shrubs for contrast. I've got my eye on a http://apps.rhs.org.uk/plantselector/plant?plantid=3475 which I've seen grown as a small tree in a garden I visited in Charleroi.  Just have to find one now.   "Pungently scented by Abby2

Talkback: Magpies and mice
for 30 years. Haven't had magpies in the garden but noticed in a local park whilst a load of small birds were mobbing a polystyrene chip tray in vain as it was upside down a magpie flew down turned the tray with its foot and flew off with the contents by suelynmo
