grubs problem
in advance Pictures would be helpful...but I think the culprit may well be slugs/snails.  Beat me too it slugs, get some pellets down, you will probably find slugs hiding near by.   Yep, slugs and snails love petunias. Initially thought this though I by Karen Mawhinney

wilting and dying bedding plants
. If you replant I suggest you inspect your plants with a torch and pick off any slugs n snails you see.  Still use your pellets but, ironically, too many attract the pests.  Just a few pellets is all that is required. Sometimes mice and other small rodents by bert cutsforth

Hosta
I have had an hosta in a pot for about 5 years now and it has always looked spectacular. I have always managed to keep the horrible slugs and snails off it, but this year something seems to be eating it alive! There has been about four leaves by maggzy

strange fruit
, and the bigger ones almost have a ‘seam’. I’d almost think they were snail eggs but I thought they would be below ground. Any ideas?   Looks like the sap one gets when a Plum moth larva has entered/exited the fruit. by jimineyc

Slow Chrysanths
I planted out several chrysanth cuttings oh, it must be two months now, but they've hardly moved. A couple have been completely demolished by snails. Is there any hope that when the weather turns they might come on, even flower, or is this year just by Ivyhouse
