strange fruit
, and the bigger ones almost have a ‘seam’. I’d almost think they were snail eggs but I thought they would be below ground. Any ideas?   Looks like the sap one gets when a Plum moth larva has entered/exited the fruit. by jimineyc

Slow Chrysanths
I planted out several chrysanth cuttings oh, it must be two months now, but they've hardly moved. A couple have been completely demolished by snails. Is there any hope that when the weather turns they might come on, even flower, or is this year just by Ivyhouse

spring bulb crisis!
been the cause? Do you take any precautions for slug/snail attack? There is a narcissus fly but that does the damage after flowering-not sure that many insects go for spring flowers to the point of eating them by Barbara Weaving

time I've done it so I'll see if I can bump up the old thread and we can both refresh our memories. Pesky slugs/snails on the top shelf of my propagator have munched on some baby delphiniums. Edit: You need to mix the flour with water. by 4711

Hello, my slug problem is pretty huge even though I have all sorts of wildlife. I have started putting roughly crushed eggshells amongst and around my hostas in the hope that the slugs and snails won't like to manoevre through or past them. I save by sheilac

Runner Beans loss of leaves
to be planting out runner beans-especially in Monmouthshire-but it is still slugs/snails-what makes you think it isn't-it nearly always is Rabbits? Has it been windy around your way?  Strong winds can snap the leaf stalks of tender plants. Deer? by BUBBLES2

Slugs
geraniums have been knibbled by snails...I thought the smell of geraniums put snails off the plants, but sadly no.  they do. They just bite bits of it to taste first. if its not tasty they move on to something else. the tip of my dianthus has just been by Bev Pounsett-Krynauw
