Stored home made liquid seaweed feed...
to dispose of it. Lyn. Don't think it kills slugs and snails but spraying plants with liquid seaweed does deter them, you need to start spraying plants early though before snails and slugs become active. I did last year and was slug and snail free until by Zoomer44

that will survive with a small amount of sun (new flower bed is under a beautiful but large copper beech) Yes, you can make a garlic solution to deter slugs and snails. I think this was shown on Gardeners' World last Friday if you saw the programme. The recipe by Galic and Snails

Talkback: How to grow rockets leaves from seed
My rocket plants have been plagued by snails. Apart from wondering whether I could actually eat the snails I have found there, what can I do? I have put down slug pellets but it made no difference. Also, some have now gone to seed. Can I by Lynneod

Plants being eaten!
and they are all being nibbled as they push through.  Could it be slugs and snails?  I havent seen any to speak of the only thing I have seen is this red lily beetle. It is really started to devastate things coming through and things that last through the winter by Ben Whistance

 drench. As the whole leaves gone it might be something else hiding in your conservatory, snail, caterpillar etc by mucky

'd guess that the culprits are snails. If you go out at night with a torch you may find them at work. There may also be caterpillar present - check the backs of the leaves carefully. Thanks I will try that. Just spotted it - light green small caterpillar by Marianne2

Hi you think you have bird problems ,this is absolutly true ,seen nothing like it, last week i was talking to Phill my next door allotment mate about the damage from slugs, snails and birds, as a big fat street pidgeon walked up the path toward us by 4711

Help - I have a problem with my magnolia - the leaves are either skeletal or have gone completely.  I thought it might be slugs or snails but can see no trails.  I have tried all the books to find out what it could be and looked on various internet by stowv1

rocket being eaten
Hi everyone, somthing is eating the rocket we planted a few month ago and leaving tiny but neumous holes all over the leaves, I don't think it's slugs or snails as i have put pellets everywhere and there are no slime trails to show evidence of them by vendee

Harvesting potatoes
