Hedychium
Hi I have had my Hedychium for around 6 years now and it is my pride and joy.  Although its flowers are only with me a short while each year the smell is amazing, and the flowers are so delicate.  It has survived frosts, snow, drought and my puppy by SarahD2

Magnolia Madness!
! I also have this but I assumed it was because we had severe frost and snow when the flowers were just budding. I also have a purple magnolia that is about 20 years old and flowered really well every year but now looks as though it is dead as it has by Lingdada

Dahlias
dahlias usually have a lot more flowers.   And some late flowering plants are going to be so late they'll be poking through the snow. They are unlikely to flower now-seed varieties are not as reliable as tuber raised plants-what did you feed them with by george stevens

weather and plants in pots
dozen shrubs in 3L pots. Can they be left out in the snow and 0degree temps and survive? Or do I leave them in my garage? Or bring them out in daylight and back at night? What about watering? Thanks, Bill They are all hardy. Raise them up if you can onto by Bill Mansfield

Bedding plants
February so we can all be struck with cold, snow and hard frosts. I wouldn't bother with the cost of heating a greenhouse. Having said that I've geminated lobelia indoors and are now in the cold frame as an experiment. They were free seeds so nothing lost by gill barker
