Companions in the wildlife garden
goes away. I've got just 20 to start me off and if mine end up looking like yours happymarion I will be very pleased. The snowdrops really have snow now in Bristol and the wood pigeons are pinching the biscuit crumbs meant for my robin. We don't have by happymarion

small bird watch
with much chatter and flitting about but yesterday it turned cold and tried to snow so they're all busy stuffing themselves at the feeders and no more messing about for now. Snow is predicted for Monday here. fairly cool now but colder to follow later by nutcutlet

a pot grown one hidden away in an unseated greenhouse work or am I destined to do without . I always lose them eventually, except one. It's a deciduous one called "Gloire de Versailles". It looked dead last year after we'd had snow and -17° so OH by bunnysgarden

Can anyone help identifying a plant?
, perhaps a couple of foot across, but it is never more than around 10cm tall.  I am hoping to find out its name so I can plant some in my own garden. any help much appreciated Could be cerastium tomentosum (snow in summer)...? Needs a sunny, well by Lunarz

My dream garden
that we were used to.  In fact, we have less of a "climate" and more a "series of weather events". 1975?  Remember it well.  I was sitting my finals - and it snowed in June!  About 3" of the stuff.  Didn't last, of course, but was a novelty nonetheless by sotongeoff

It Is Not Spring Yet !!!
're still due some snow.  There are still some berries left on the lower branches of the big rowan at the end of the garden, the blackbirds and fieldfares have eaten most of the berries from the top of the tree. I HATE snow, it's bloody hard work shoving a by sotongeoff
