Rockery plants
so hard when you have clay soil as drainage for the rockery plants is essential,I have tried but have had not much success,I did have snow on the mountain but that has gone, but the thrift is doing OK as long as I leave it alone. Thanks Lyn , I by bunnysgarden

Moving a Curry plant
with the root ball intact you should get away with it providing the ground is not frozen or waterlogged     Thanks for that, good job I asked, Will leave a couple of weeks now as snow is forecast and then have a go at moving intact and taking cuttings later by nanna26

Tree ideas.
Hi. we have recently had to remove a 50 foot, 60 year old Cedar tree from our front garden due to severe snow damage. Regrettable... it now leaves a huge space. We are now looking for something to fill the gap. it is about 10m from the house by bluelizard

Onions and garlic
everyone very much for the helpful advice. The bulbs are still dry and firm so I'll give them a try. However, we've only just got rid of the snow and the plot is quite waterlogged so I'll leave it a while. You could always start both the shallots and garlic by rmenmuir@btinternet.

Camelia - why are buds only on lower branches
in right, but be careful of a bigger pot (it need a bigger!). Don't like "cold and wet foot". Watering a little and look of the correct drain. I'sure, you have luck .   Ok Lyn will do once the snow has gone, either that or i,l dig a tunnel ! Thanks  Thai by tony williams2

What eats onion sets?
they'll have to be netted to within an inch of their lives. Here in the Furness Peninsula. South Cumbria, we have occasional visits by deer, usually when it snows.  This Winter, most of my onion sets have been pulled out and eaten by them.  As well by Leggi
