Slow worms and roe deer
An odd mix for a subject title but bear with me.  I found my first (live) slow worm in the garden today. I found one dead in the snow a month ago which was a surprise, must have tried to get going too soon and got caught out in our long hard spring by steephill

Dragon claw willow
will start soon now it is getting lighter - do hope so - it is such a lovely tree.  It does get colder here.   -15C for 2 or 3 weeks at a a time is common in winter and in recent years -20 and 25C have been known too.   It's not so bad if we have snow by Bushy 77

Buying plants on ebay
onion that is very easy to grow. They will also tolerate heat and poor soil. They are disease and pest resistant. Plant Egyptian onions anytime from early spring until snow falls in the fall or winter. The green shoots that grow in the spring can be used by mowfolk

Climber for a pot?

Talkback: How to grow onions, shallots and garlic
As we have lots of snow in the garden and the ground is very cold can I start onion sets off in individual pots and then transplant them into the veg garden later. I was so late getting my onion sets planted last year they did not grow. Just a by markpete

Laurel Hedge
I planted a new Laurel (english) Headge last autumn.  It sailed through the winter & snow.  Had a few catterpillars to pick off early spring & then it has taken off!  Lots of new shoots & leaves putting on growth outwards & upwards.  But everytime I by Crazycatlady

Geothermal heating and plants
it with a solid surface such as concrete or tarmac.  There does not appear to be much difference as far as the lawn is concerned. Snow lies a little longer over the captor as the heat has been removed, so would advisenot planting tender subjects. by GreenPalm

My weather forecast has gone!
