Swiss chard
Last year I grew swiss chard, it grew and grew and we were eating it for months. I thought it would eventually die back over the winter but despite the recent snow it is still looking very much alive and producing small stubby leaves from the base by CottageGardenFairy

Greenhouse
mine twice this year due to the weight of snow and have just carried out a botch up to protect some seeds but fear that a good blast of wind or some more snow will permenantly see to its end.  Mines secondhand with glass. It's solid structure unlike by optima

Seeds not growing
then about 10 days after that we had about 6 inches of snow which I cleared off the fleece.  My question is will these seeds grow now and if not will it be ok just to leave them in the soil. and re-plant them. I planted carrots, beetroot, parsnip . thanks by flowergirl4

How late is this 'spring'?
, is this Portnoy's complaint? There, someone had to say it. I agree; this is the latest spring for many years, though I think 1962 or 3 had serious snow in April. I remember digging my father's car out of the drive and putting down cinders to help the traction by Portnoy

Good Morning - 21 March
in muddy paw marks.......... Nice thread...I'm keeping my eye on the weather forecast, sometime tomorrow I'm given to understand that my plot may be under 10/15cm of snow. So I'm taking advantage of the lull before the storm (as it were) and finish dividing by obelixx

Those b....y muntjac again
They've eaten the heads of loads of hellebores. Muntjacs seem the most likely culprit. Snow is a good time to see what wanders though the garden no rabbits, one hare and the muntjac. Oh dear ...deer.... Hehe sorry . We have a lot of deer here by nutcutlet
