New year growth starting early
bulbs appearing, narcissus, snowdrops and even bluebells are coming up? Does anyone think this is normal? My thought is that they are coming up a bit early? It's early but when we get a cold spell it will all slow down.  I have been gardening for 40 by Tim Burr

SNOW!
went back to work. Needed some stone moving in the rockery for a small water feature which we've swapped from another border . The other one still needs electrical work doing as well so that's on hold . Still haven't divided the snowdrops - can't even by Will Pratt

Talkback: Valentine's Day flowers
. Valentine flower is the crocus. I went round my garden in the rain to see what bouquet I could concoct. There were lovely sprigs of Jasmine nudiflorum, pink bergenia, one Iris unguilaris, lots of Iris danfordiae, one small daffodil and hordes of snowdrops by Kate Bradbury
