Hydrangea Soil PH?
I've just bought a Hydrangea Koria plant which has small white flowers which Ill be planting in a large pot. Am i correct in thinking if i don't get the soil PH correct then the flowers may change to pink or blue? I'm fairly certain that white by LeadFarmer

basket. Where does it go? how can I ensure its full for me to plant, should I pat it down. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Audrie Audrie, worry not, soil will move.You mix it then put it in the pot or tray and it will be full of air, as you water the seed by audrie

Top soil needed
I am after some advice please, I have renewed the drainage in my garden with a new soakaway. I have been advised to add some better topsoil throughout the back garden. It looks like i need approx 7 tonnes of soil.  Where is best place to get a by Oliver Morrissey

Talkback: Preparing the soil for planting
successfully in my allotment-18 years of trying! They have always gone black and have given a very small crop. A teacher on a course I was on told me I must have a virus in my soil, so this year I grew them in pots, in potting compost, and had a much better by eve mould

Problem soil near sycamore
A friend has found that plants are not thriving in soil near a large sycamore yet do grow well away from the edge of the canopy spread. Apart from competing for water and nutrients, could the tree roots be having a toxic effect on surrounding plants by Mrs MacGregor

Which sand for soil improvement?
Im replacing my lawn this year and want to rotavate some sand into the heavy soil to help with drainage. Would regular grit sand from builders merchants be suitable?   Thanks.  Yes, a rough grade of sharp sand like that would be good by LeadFarmer

Top soil feed for shrubs
I look after a nursing home garden, all raised beds, one bed is full of shrubs, is it warm enough to mix the feed into the top soil yet, it says on the box to put down in spring, but because of the bad weather we have had I have held back. I think by Flower bird

Bind Weed / Top soil
Hello we have just built a raised boarder and had some top left from a previous project which we have used to fill the boarder Unfortunately the soil became invested with bind weed last year which we treated with back to the root and thought we had by karen williams2

There's Something In My Soil
spot was still there. So then one of my gardening friends said to dig plenty of mulch into the soil and leave it over winter to which i did so and guess what it back so in march i dug all the roses out as i thought they were diseased and then treated by Rushie
