Autumn sown sweet peas
that autumn sowing of sweet pea seed was a waste of time. What a good idea!     I shall give two sowings a try next time.    I do love these flowers and the colours are wonderful.    I like the fact that the more you pick them, the more flowers you get by CathRJ

Firey colours- coleus?
http://www.swallowtailgardenseeds.com/annuals/coleus.html You could sow some now, they grow quite quickly, but they are not hardy - you must over-winter them indoors in warm conditions.   They are not long lived plants but if you take cuttings every year from your favourite plants you can keep propogating by Josiewoe

Blue Lake Pencil Beans
into the soil at the beginning of June-no problems and beans a few weeks later My advice for what it is worth is to sow 2/3 per support outside around then-there is plenty of time- trust me-it is too early to start them off just now indoors anyway they like by Swedboy

Marigolds in the veg patch
pretty and so much the better if there are other benefits. You can eat nasturtium flowers in salads anyway. I meant to sow borage as well, forgot to buy the seed, but not too late I think. The flowers are pretty in ice cubes. Im amazed. How did by Verdun

New veg grower and advice needed pls
fresh air! Hope that helps Agreed. Seeds sown indoors will almost certainly grow quicker than those sown outside, purely because the conditions inside will be warmer. Once planted outside they will slow down a bit and the others will catch up. The green by Bettyslad
