Good morning.  What is the best fertiliser to use when seeeding a new lawn, I have growmore and chicken manure pellets can I use any of these. I wouldn't use chicken pellets unless you can fully incorporate it Imto the soil before seed sowing.  So by bluejan

Aconitum (aka monkshood / wolfs bane)
plant stays healthy and strong. If you don't want the seeds for sowing or self sowing, then cut off the flower stalks so the plant transfers its energy from seed ripening to healthy roots and foliage, thus building a stronger plant for next year. by Tim Burr

How best to germinate aquilegia seeds?
Hello, I've bought some aquilegia seeds from T&M and some from eBay, how is best to germinate/ sow them? On one packet it says to sow in a tray, seal in a bag and place in the fridge for 3 weeks (saying this speeds up the process), the other doesn by Tina_i_am

sowed persicaria seeds over a month ago and none germinated, I have put them in the fridge for a few weeks and then took out in to a spring like enviroment and still no joy... checked all the seeds and they are hollow apart from a few .. have by catarina ribeiro

blamed heavy rain for washing some about but probably down to my haphazard sowing technique Hi Deev8, When did you sow your seed? I re-did my lawn about 2 years back, sowing late september to early october. By January my lawn was looking reasonably well by Deev8
