sowing grass seed

grown, whats there now is only 6 inch or so high. My idea was to get a rotavator, turn it all over, as its a bit uneven cause of the digger tracks, stomp all over it to flatten, then seed it. Ive chosen seed cause of cost and im in no rush for it. also i by tommysmith

Poppy seed

I have always sown my seed into pots and trays then pricked them out etc because sowing straight into the ground doesnt work for me. I dont get anything come through. How do others sow HP and HB seed for poppies/ also if I cut the seed heads off by lucky3
