Spring Bulbs
Hi Everyone I'm a complete novice so if I'm asking a stupid question, sorry. I planted lots if bulbs and miraculously some have sprouted and are trying to flower. My question is after they have flowered what do you do with them ? I have a by Emma 6

Moving lily bulbs
the spring bulbs are finished.  missed a word out in the original post....lol.....it should have read ;- When is the best *time* to disturb the bulbs in order to do this ? After they have flowered or when you plant them up in January. I think MD was a little by marshmello

Spring Bulbs
I have daffodils, tulips and other spring bulbs which are planted in containers and have now finished flowering.  The foliage is still green especially on the daffs.  I would now like to empty the pots for veg planting and some summer bedding plants by Jante

Tulips in Pots
I planted lots of bulbs in tubs and pots last autumn - tulips amongst them. I am wondering now whether to dig them out and replace them with fresh ones this year or leave them and hope they will flower again next spring. Some of the pots have other by wisehedgecrone

in advance. Peter  Hi Peter, those small stems are from bulbils, which are new baby lily bulbs which have developed on the side of the main bulbs.  Next spring, before the lilies are showing shoots, you can tip the pot out, separate the young bulbs and grow by Peter/

in the year?  Any advice would be much appreciated. Have you got a corner of the garden where you can plant them to let them die down slowly, then the energy from the leaves will go to replenish the bulbs. The foliage on spring flowering bulbs should by RioRita2

overgrown rockery
I have a small overgrown rockery which is riddled with couch grass, it also has autumn flowering cyclamen and spring bulbs in. My plan would be to remove the cyclamen corms and bulbs and then use weed killer on the grass and replant in spring. Could by Gill13

which are the best flowers to start off now to give me colour through the winter ? Violas/pansies, cyclamens, and polyanthus. I would also plant some spring flowering bulbs and consider a winter foliage container, either decorative cabagges or Ajuga by gill barker

seem to do as well in their second season.Or after foliage has died down lift the bulbs and store them in peat till September,and replant for the following spring,advise I have had is they flower to their full potential  if lifted.I hope this helps! I by Amanda 3

spring bulb crisis!
Can anyone help to stop it happening next spring ? All the buds were attacked by some insect, and I don't think anything escaped ! From Barbara in Paignton Which bulbs did you grow? I find that slugs seem to go for tulips ,daffodils-could that have by Barbara Weaving
