and let them die down.I lift mine and drop them into a Nursery bed (an area not in use as yet) in rows and let them rest and feed.Never fold the leaves down, or tie them in a knot, or even cut them off, they are the feed factory for the bulb to flower next by Cecilia Wright

Buying spring bulbs online
I have just had this months edition of GW magazine drop onto my doormat and I see from the front page it is all about buying spring bulbs.  In the past I have bought from Parkers and have had mixed results with some not flowering at all and others by Lavender Lady

GROWING BULBS IN POTS FOR PLANTING OUT IN SPRING
I have decided to plant my spring flowering bulbs in pots because the squirrels keep digging them up.  Can I leave the pots in the greenhouse or do they need to be outside (protected from pests)?  Also when I have bought already flowering bulbs by LynneC2

Spring pyrotechnics in a little corner of Holland in Addlestone, Surrey
A Dutchman at heart, I love to create a mini-Keukenhof         each spring in my garden. This year, I pulled out all the stops to dazzle neighbours, friends, colleagues, and strangers with a magical display of thousands of spring flowering bulbs by Marcel de Lannoy

Talkback: How to plant hyacinth bulbs
What do I do with bulbs once they have flowered? Go to Kew Gardens and search out my mate Guy Moore, a horticulturist there. He's Adonis-handsome and single (curly blonde hair and blue eyes)! Can you suggest me some compost? I am new to gardening by osckar30

Talkback: Planting bulbs in lawns
I shall put in pots this year. They remind me of when I was a Brown Owl in the GG movement - the flowers are brown and yellow. Just love bulbs. Anemone pavonina is a beauty in the grass at the Botanic Garden and a great favourite with the visitors by Lu

Lifting Lily bulbs
. So will be repotting some this weekend to have enough pots for spring bulbs. The lillies will go in plastic pots and be put somewhere out of sight to allow the leaves to die back. Mine flower year after year despite being lifted in the green by mdw84

Alliums
I have a collection of Allium bulbs in pots until I have the right spot for them. Can I move them in flower? Yes if you're careful - as far as I'm aware the biggest danger would be the physical one of snapping the flowering stem.  Otherwise just dig by Sam Glendinning

sweet chestnut
popping up all over the place at work - from chestnuts planted by squirrels and jays - they just bury them in the lawn, flower beds, pots of bulbs etc and forget where they put them - by late spring we're having to mow them out of the lawn, dig them out by PotterAngie
