Daffodils suitable for heavy soil
previous.  I had a lot that came up blind or too early so the flowers were damaged. All the bulbs are still in the ground so I'm hopeful to have a better show for the Spring. Interesting advice kate- I begrudge spending too much money on the garden but £2 by Sarah M

Tulipa 'Spring Green'
I saw this in Parker's bulb catalogue and amongst other bulbs thought I would have to try it (bulb catalogue is abit like being in a sweet shop!). It's in flower now but I am disappointed to see that there is a pink flush to the white parts by AliP

unidentified bulb
Hi, can anyone tell me what this bulb is, it must be a flower because I planted it! The bulb is small but the dark green leaves are 2 foot long and very grass like. There is a thickening on the  bulb on the left, maybe the flowers come from that! I by SHADOWFLO

autumn crocus disease - what is it?
Hi.  I have found two clumps of Colchicum autumnale recently in two different clients' gardens.  I was told some didn't flower at all. ..so I dug up the bulbs to investigate.  I have no picture, as yet, but the description is this:  the leaves by claire cadoux

Annuals, Perenials and Bi-annuals
bulbs of which i will plant in september for spring colour. I fancy Orange - any ideas guys?       Violas and pansies are good in pots over winter - if it's mild, they'll flower right through. Orange spring  bulbs - that's harder. But you can get orange by Cia

Is my crab apple (malus profusion) dead?
something during the warm spell in March, it went colder, then nothing... I planted some small bulbs about 20cm from the trunk (crocuses which came and went and minature daffs still in flower). I've since read the base should be kept grass and weed free by WarksLass
