Talkback: Dealing with lily beetle
I catch lilly beetles with a spring loaded meash infusor (used for infusing tea leaves) which I hold open over the lilly beetle and then snap shut. Before it knows what's happening, I've captured it. I gently pull the meash infuser away, letting by Tim Burr

Cutting back Stipa grass
Would you recommend cutting back Stipa grass in spring in order to bring fresh growth to it? by Cia

Fert Schedules
Would one recommend plant feeding with a balanced fert in Autumn/ Winter esp when transplanting or wait until Spring. I prefer using lood hoof and bone meal  for majority of veg and herb plants but use sparingly in Autumn. Feed in the spring when by potatoes

Aliums
Last spring my newly planted Aliums towered above spring plants as single stems.  I let them develop and keep their seed heads as they looked magnificent for the rest of the year.  This year they have emerged as much shorter multi-headed stems by Harriet 2

Rusty patches on Muscari Big Blue
Muscari should be dying back now, so what is happening is probably quite normal. It'll be back next spring. Thanks for your reply but that is the smaller spring bulb I am refering to Muscari 'Big Blue' which is much bigger and flowers in late summer by Rosa4

castor oil plant
I bought a castor oil plant from malvern spring show in a 3inch pot could it be grown on in bigger pot for the summer as it grows very tall and a dont want it to swap other plants? by janet powell
