? Potentillas seen pretty tolerant, you can probably do it when it suits you.

I visited Rode Hall in Cheshire last

where there was a lovely snowdrop display around the grounds - snowdrops eveywhere even little displays in the greenhouse. Some rarer varieties on show and for sale. There was also a Snowdrop Festival

Clematis Daniel Deronda
Planted this clematis September last year. It is coming up nicely with 6 flowerbuds already but something is eating the leaves. Suggestions ???? Slugs and snails love clematis when it's fresh in

so protect it with organic slug pellets and go

TREE HAS STARTED TO SHED ITS NEEDLES IS THIS OKAY OR IS IT SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS Spruces can shed their needles in
spring
, although not usually all at once. If you are getting fresh green growth at the same time it should be fine.
