Should I dig up my Allysum?
that it is a hardy annual plant, but would someone be kind and explain what this means in practice?  Should I leave some clumps in the ground so it comes back next year, or dig it all up to make room for some spring plants, sowing fresh seeds next spring by Jo Hamilton

Pruning Dogwood
Is it ok to prune my dogwood at this time of yea?, it's getting a bit too big ! I hard pruned my dogwood in early spring, this is the traditional time to prune it to ensure you get the coloured stems over winter. Sometimes I do a little 6 inch trim by fionaf

Hardy Annuals
This is probably a stupid question! I sowed some hardy annuals two weeks ago and the wildflower Small Scabious has germinated.  What happens to hardy annuals during winter, do they die down to come back up again in the Spring or will I lose them by Gracie5

Seline, Jack Flash.
Hi , everyone. I sowed some Seline Jack Flash in Spring and transplanted them into a big pot. On the seed packet it stated the above but didn't flower. As it's a form of campion I was wondering if it would be better in the ground ? It's growing well by jean riley

hydrangea
the Spring? Also, is it likely I will be able to divide it and get extra plants?     No, don't try to "divide" it. I would plant it now. ( I assume it was in a pot outside and not grown indoors). Prune in spring. Keep old flower heads....these help protect by break23

When to prune verbena?
of mine all die. So I cut them down to around the base. I haven't actually done it yet. I find it useful to leave the dead top bits until the Spring, as they remind me just where the plants are. Hopefully I'll see some green shoots coming up around by tinkr81

Blistered leaves.
it dry until the leaves are open. Hiya Julian. Yes just as Anne has said. Best you can do is remove those blistered leaves and feed to encourage new shoots. I have 2 small peaches in biggish pots.  I always bring them into the greenhouse in spring when by Julian 2
