Talkback: Moles and molehills
uddenly appeared in the spring, & made several molehills all around our pond. I kept flattening them only for him to keep renewing them. He is now venturing right across vast areas of the lawn by digging tunnels everywhere. He is lifting the turf by happymarion

and I built a pond in spring and were amazed how quickly it became teaming with life. We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old who have learnt so much by observing the pond life, I feel sad that so many children miss out on the experience.. I live by joseph woosey

are easy to grow and they can last for years. I've got my broad beans in pots this year. I have grown tomatoes & cucumbers in pots as well as spring onions & salad leaves. I grew potatoes in bags last year & have got some on the go this year too.I have by chutneyhunter

them in autumn, dry and store them, and replant in spring. If you intend leaving them in a pot over winter maybe you should go for John Innes no 3, as ordinary MP compost will be nothing but peat and sand by autumn,  Goldilocks has covered most things by roxy2

New roses for old
, sprayed at the first sight of aphids etc.  To no avail.  I don't know which roses they are.  All have about 3/4 very  tall thin stems and after yearly pruning to a third of height, they shoot up in the Spring to full height, produce only one or two buds by Naki
