Aralia Spinosa
Hi - we planted a bare root Aralia Spinosa in a shady part of the garden last year. It grew and produced new leaves in late spring this year. However, all leaves and branches have now turned and dropped. I know that Aralia does this in winter by New Gardener3

the winter- plant out in the spring when they are big enough. Do they need to go in gritty soil, if so how do i make it? I just use ordinary potting compost and never had a problem-or are you asking about their final home? Willco Geoff Just till spring Keep by Doctor_63

flowers
which are the best flowers to start off now to give me colour through the winter ? Violas/pansies, cyclamens, and polyanthus. I would also plant some spring flowering bulbs and consider a winter foliage container, either decorative cabagges or Ajuga by gill barker

VINE WEEVIL NEMATODES
I was wondering if anyone knew whether there is any point in using nematodes now, if I am not sure whether vine weevil is present or not? We had an infestation last Spring and the nematodes wiped out the weevil. If there are no larvae in ths soil by freshairfanatic
