Stinging Nettles in lawn
How do you get rid of stinging nettles in lawns? I love walking bare foot on grass and they ventured onto the lawn when it was neglected for two years.  Dan x Use a selective weedkiller for treating broad-leaf weeds like dandelions- it will not harm by Doctor_63

 crop, there is 5' deep of stingers, apart from chopping off the tops to prevent them towering over my fence, would the RoundUp weedkiller be safe to use?  Muffymoo, I have the same problem.  Those country stinging nettles can get really tall.  They are good by Debs

The scent of dock leaves take me back to my childhood and trying to alleviate the sting from nettles. Kate, But A gardenia always reminds of how my late husband went into a flower shop in Bristol centre on our forst date and came out with one made by happymarion

Samaritan clearing up great clumps of public nettles when actually i am just feeding my rather woody compost. I have to say nettles the English type give me a sting that lasts for at least a week but I also have the very pretty dead nettle in my garden by hereisabee

to the Butterfly Conservation they say Stinging nettles http://www.butterfly-conservation.org/downloads/48/gardening.html I grow a couple of patches of the horrible, stinging ones simply because they were there when I moved in so I just keep them under control. One by Green P

One for the ladies...
plants are used in my life but was wondering if there was anyone else that did the same? um dock leaves for nettle stings, um i read somewhere parsley is a powerful aphrodisiac. I'ce seen big fields of opium poppies grown in lincolnshire by the showground by Sam Glendinning
