Talkback: Growing spring bulbs
, I have very limited space in my backgarden and would like to use the containers that I currently use for Spring bulbs (Daffs, Snowdrops, Crocusses, Tulips)again for summer flowers. What do I do with the bulbs until Autum? Can I take the bulbs out by Alice

Pot Grown Potatoes
your idea of using old compost bags, what a good idea.  Thanks for your reply (and the one abov also) and if they are a success, I may try more next year, but they do take an awful lot of compost!!!! They do take a lot of compost but I think they by alisondicky

Small Potatoes
and they have grown but I was fed up with all the leaves taking up space so I cut them down and found the spuds... I havent fed them anything either.  they just grew on their own from peelings.  I have cooked them for a potato salad tomorrow, and at least two by James5

Tackling erosion
of slate into their bank in order to support plants until they established, I thought this seemed a possibility. We're now taking it easy and resting our aching muscles before taking on the next stage. We're thinking we will have to cut back the brambles by Carole Lacy

bags over them. I also use clear plastic food containers with clear lids. I don't sow many perennials, I find it easier to buy a decent plant and take cuttings or split it. Annuals that are colourfull that I have grown from seed - petunias, rudbeckias by yvonne parsons2

what to plant NOW !
with drawing and re drawing my garden, ill take a wander tomorrow and see whats growing already in my local garden centre . whats good for cut flowers apart from dahlias , i really like high scented plants too ?? any suggestions  Dutch Iris ,gladioli,if you by kerri
