The best way to deal with wasps that bother you is to make a trap. Take an empty 1.5 litre plastic drinks bottle and punch a few holes around the top. They should be big enough for a wasp to crawl through. Pour in a few inches of cider by AngelStar

tree i want to cut back, when do i do it and can i take a cutting from one of the new shoots that are sprouting? I Have the same problem as Tom 7th July, the tree is only very young I have had it about twelve months, it was bought with leaves by Dawn Hambleton

Hi Adam, why not take out a bit of extra 'insurance' by wrapping the pot in bubble polythene and wrapping the plant in fleece, if it isn't too big to do so. If it is too big for the fleece why not put a layer of mulch round the base of the plant by Adam Pasco

is basically a pint glass of water in which I have left a cut up shallot and a crushed clove of garlic to soak. It smells pungent enough to me and it seems to have kept them from coming back!! i tried the detegent thing on my beans last year but found by hereisabee
