How tidy is your garden?
Not having an army of gardeners to help me with all the many things i want to do one thing that intrigues me is how tidy should I keep my garden rather than spend time creating that new flower border, sow those seeds or move that shrub. Just where by Woodgreen wonderboy

Tidying up herbaceous plants for winter
of the taller stems remaining in 07 until about Feb 08 when I was able to start a delayed tidy up. Depends perhaps on how tidy you are, how much time you have now & in Spring & whereabouts in UK too. Moister areas in the North & West just end up very soggy by Tim Burr

Talkback: Garden wildlife and autumn tidying
the solution - be an individual, tidy or untidy, in your garden and together the needs of the wildlife will be served. How about a compromise, guys?Everyone has a area that is sort of ignored. Cut and trim all you want, but move the trimmings to that unused by Richard Jones

Stipa Gigantea
Hi everyone, When is it ok to trim and tidy Stipa? Between now and spring, I reckon.   They say you should do things to grasses in spring, but you are just going to take out the dead grass, aren't you?   And the dead heads. Hello Ann, thanks by pamajo
