Trachelospermum jasminoides
when i moved it, brown leaves dropping off. Its now on a west facing fence and after tidying it up and feeding it this year it is beautiful. Love the smell. Good luck. Mine is on a west facing fence as well. I didn't cut it at all after I bought it as I by diggingdoris

Tree Peony
the 'tree' tidy and ready for the new leaves.  They can also suffer badly from a sudden cold spell, did you temperatures drop sharply overnight one night?  My tree peonies dislike that very much, usually sulking and dropping leaves, though I have to say I do by Gretel

Ladybirds
was tidying up  My beans were relegated to the compost heap a long time ago ... but then I do garden a little way further North than the temperate Metropolis.  I've not seen as many ladybirds this year, although several lacewings ventured into my home during by Kate Bradbury

Great company!
Goregeous day here in North Wales, tidied up the garden, the veg patch, and shared it with some very busy Goldfinches, Blue Tits and, surprise, surprise a spotted woodpecker! Made my day! Good to hear you had a lovely day in my favourite holiday by peter ansells

Autumn planting of Alliums (not!!)
- even the ones I forgot and found in the garage in February when I did a tidy up.  These last were late flowering but did OK so just store your bulbs somewhere cool, dark and dry till you have more space to get them in the ground. by Tim Burr

When to plant spring bulbs
and alliums can wait a month as long ast they're kept somewhere cool and don't dry out.  When I was tidying up the garage at the end of Feb I found some packets of alliums I'd forgotten about and planted them out and, while not all of them flowered, many did by ClaireCat

Cordless Hedge Trimers
dragging the cable over flower beds etc. The battery life will be limited, to around 20 minutes before it needs a recharge. But I take that as an opportunity to tidy up what I've done. And the batteries don't last forever and so will need replacing after a by Graham Connellan

So annoying or not!!
I've just been out in the garden for the usual tidying and clearing up that we all do in the Autumn and have noticed that my dahlias are only just beginning to put on a good show. They are full of new buds waiting to open and I am now hoping by Gracie5

What will happen to my Cotinus?!
Hi I'm new to gardening and thought, being Autumn I would tidy up our over grown Cotinus or purple smoke bush ready for winter. I've cut it back so the branches are 30cms from the stem. I'm used to seeing my Mum pruning roses and treated by Rebecca Hill
