Grafted Tomato Plants!
not produce so well, they were in a smaller pot so perhaps that was my fault, the fruit were not large, neither was the plant compared to ones I have seen growing in South Africa. I might try a grafted tomato in the greenhouse this year, the last 2 years have by JIMMMY

you have to be very vigilant. My best success is growing tomatoes in big pots - they do escape blight that way should it be a good year for potato blight. Hi Marion, as usual you're a mine of info! Thanks. Can someone tell me if carrot leaves by lusia62

Potatoes
this year and whilst im not laden down with them what i have got are reallt tasty. Im on the south coast so it has been really wet this year and lots of people have lost theirs to blight i seem to be lucky at the moment. Have grown the beef tomatoes by Netherfield

, heavy with fruit but again, for the third year running, plagued with blight. It is so depressing. Before all this I grew wonderful tomatoes each year which yielded so much fruit that I had to preserve them in olive oil for the winter. I don't know what I by John Reynolds

aclimatise, a few days later drop the plant out of the small pot and into the ring, water in and leave. When all around me had blight I had tomato's right up to October, they need a bit of care. The bottemless pot allows the water through to the roots by landrover

And don't they all look lovely too. especially tomatoes. I'm hoping to put red stripy tomatoes in pots in my front garden display for the Bristol in bloom competition -and I can make out the stripes already. Lots of lovely spring onions by Greenwatch

Tomato probs
Aaggh. Newbie here growing greenhouse Alicante tomato's. Whole branches of each of my plants are dying and the ripening friut is rotting. Obviously no good this year but any ideas on how I can prevent further happenings pls. Any chance of a photo by Colin7

Recycling compost from last years tomato growbags
sterilise it of for example blight microorganisms ? In the oven / microwave? There are various soil additives in the shed, bloodmeal, fishmeal, chicken waste if neede., It's not for potting tomato plantsĀ I know not to plant the same crops in the same soil by Frank E

Potatoes losing their leaves
Hi, My potato crop has suddenly lost all their leaves and I am just left wth a bare stalk and on some, rock hard, green cherry tomatoe looking fruit. Does anyone know what has happened and will the crop be OK to harvest in a few weeks time? I only by Jan19
